Gluten Free Dining

By Alyse Mier One of the most stressful parts about eating out while on a gluten free diet is figuring out where you can eat. Some restaurants don’t offer gluten free menus and some require you to look extensively through their menu and make substitutions. However, we’ve just made your dining experience a lot less tedious by creating a list of 4 chain restaurants that offer gluten free menus and can be found almost anywhere in the nation. (You can view all menus below.) CRAVE CRAVE restaurant was created out of a passion to provide guests with a dining experience best defined as the CRAVE experience. It combines quality ingredients, outstanding service, sophisticated ambiance and diverse menu options. The exceptionally talented culinary team drafts a fresh menu every season that uses the highest quality ingredients to ensure guests the best dining experience possible. The chefs share their favorite recipes and techniques in order to create a diverse menu that is sure to offer something for everybody, including those who are gluten sensitive. Rosa Mexicano Since opening its doors 30 years ago Rosa Mexicano continues to surpass the expectations of authentic Mexican cuisine by providing guests with dishes prepared with socially responsible ingredients and providing a menu that everyone can enjoy. All the dishes remain true to their roots while incorporating regional accents or innovative techniques that will make them stand out among others of its kind. Eliminate all your food cravings by indulging in fresh guacamole prepared tableside, as it has been famously done since 1984. Or enjoy some corn masa empandas stuffed with chicken and chorizo. Gluten free menus are available for both lunch and dinner and are bound to make Rosa Mexicano one of your go to spots. SUSHISAMBA Only at SUSHISAMBA will you find the unique blend of Brazilian, Japanese and Peruvian flavors. This tri-cultural unification is rich in history and is representative of the early 20th century when Japanese immigrants traveled to South America to cultivate coffee farms, and thus flourished the combination of these three cultures. SUSHISAMBA has become known for serving traditional dishes as well those with an unlikely combination of flavors. From one menu you can order something as simple as Alaskan King Crab Leg to something as complex as Chicharron De Calamar with tomatoes, onions, fried plantains, tamarind and mint. A dining experience at SUSHISAMBA is a truly unconventional dining experience. The Capital Grille From the moment you walk into The Capital Grille your experience will be of true elegance. It is the restaurant’s goal that everything that arrives at your table leaves you more than satisfied from beginning to end. Guests can choose from a selection of nationally renowned dry aged steaks, the freshest seafood and a list of world-class wines. Amra & Elma Take NYFW 2015

Amra and Elma Beganovich are two sisters and digital influencers with a following of 840,000+ on social media. They are the founders of amraandelma.com, their personal lifestyle blog, and clubfashionista.com, an invite-only blogging platform dedicated to high quality content. They are based in Manhattan, and having just wrapped-up with New York Fashion Week, we wanted to get their take the latest in fashion. Here is what they had to say: MSM: Which designer’s fashion show of NYFW 2015 was the most inspiring in your opinion? Amra & Elma: We both loved the Desigual show because it was full of energy, and the styling was out of this world with the headpieces, the hairstyles and the vibrant colors. Aside from amazing designs and energy, we got to see our fashion icon—Iris Apfel, who is 94 years old and still the star of the show! Her quirky and signature style choices never cease to amaze us. MSM: What trends do you predict to be a hit this upcoming season from NYFW 2015? A&E: We think that the chic-minimalism is here to stay, and that adding a glamorous detail is what will give your outfit the “wow” effect. For instance, glasses with colored frames, extra pointy collars or oversized pockets will add a perfect touch to an already neutral outfit. MSM: Which trend can you not wait to wear? A&E: The tapestry like prints that Burberry Prorsum, Simone Rocha, and Mary Katronzou used on their jackets and other patchwork pieces. MSM: Whose street style looks from NYFW 2015 are your favorites? A&E: We loved the play on the 1970s hippie with a touch of glamour, where the girls wore large flare bell-bottoms with chunky high-heels, boho-floppy hats, and large curls. MSM: What new beauty trends made the biggest splash at the shows? A&E: We loved the shimmery eyes balanced with a nude look, where the eyes add a touch of sparkle together with opulent details, like jewelry or other accessories. The catch to this look is to keep it balanced with monotone outfit, where neutral colors like camel, navy, gray or black dominate.

Fishtail Wrapped Bun

Photography Courtesy of Latest-Hairstyles.com The fishtail braid has quickly become the modern day twist on braids. By simply adding this style to a low bun, a quick hairstyle can become an elegant up-do in minutes. Melissa Cook, contributor of Latest-Hairstyles.com, expresses her love for this fad: “Fishtail braids continue to be all the rage right now and this hairstyle features two of them.” You can dress it up for a wedding, or sport a casual look for a brunch date with your girls–either way, compliments are sure to come your way. “This fishtail wrapped up-do is quick and easy once you get the braiding part down, and the perfect hairstyle to keep in your beauty repertoire. This look is both trendy and chic, and luckily it looks trickier than it actually is to create!” Follow these steps and you’ll be on your way to chic hairstyle heaven. What you need: 2 alligator clips 4 elastic bands 1 donut bun 3-6 hair pins Hairspray Step 1 With a part on the right side, separate off a portion of hair from the part down to the left ear. Clip off the back portion of hair with an alligator clip. Step 2 Pick up a section of hair near the part and begin a fishtail French braid. This is done by dividing the section into two halves and crossing small sections of hair underneath to the opposite side while incorporating hair into the braid each time. Step 3 When all of the hair is brought into the braid, finish braiding the section down into a regular fishtail braid. Step 4 Gently pull on the edges of the braid to loosen and create a fuller braid. Tie off the end with a clear elastic band. Step 5 Repeat the previous steps creating another braid on the right side of the head. Step 6 Let down the hair at the back and sweep it up into a low ponytail, tying it off with another elastic band. Step 7 Take a hair donut and wrap it over the ponytail. Step 8 Spread the hair around the donut and wrap another hair band over the top to secure it. Step 9 Twist the hair sticking out from the donut and wrap it around the base of the bun. Step 10 Pin down the ends with a hairpin. Step 11 Pick up the braid from the right side of the head and wrap it over the top of the bun and around to the left side. Step 12 Slide in some hairpins to secure the braid against the head. Step 13 Now wrap the braid from the left side over the bun. Step 14 Pin this braid down with another hairpin. Step 15 Shower the style with hairspray and smooth down any fly-aways. For more information, visit Latest-Hairstyles.com

7 Miami Bloggers You Should Be Following

By Alyse Mier From posts which make you want to buy a whole new wardrobe to photos of food that make you immediately hungry, meet the 7 Miami based bloggers you will definitely be following by the end of this article–if you don’t already. Emilie Sobel – Soul In Stilettos A 23-year-old SCAD alumna whose initiative for creating something that was her very own led to Soul in Stilettos. This fashion blogger and social media coordinator has made herself popular among the blogosphere by blogging about affordable style and sharing with her following that being an “outfit repeater” is not something to be ashamed of. While Sobel’s original intention was to move to New York and work for a magazine, she learned of the opportunities available to her in marketing and has used those tools to market her blog and herself. She attributes her blog to giving her the ultimate gift “a job I love, and a job I know I’m good at.” Cari Garcia – Fatgirl Hedonist Fatgirl Hedonist has garnered quite the following with her unique blogging strategy. Annie Vazquez – The Fashion Poet Originally a journalist writing for various outlets such as The Miami Herald and AOL, Vazquez launched her blog during the recession when she noticed that local fashion coverage had minimized.
